Cocision Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-06-17
Overview
Cocision is early-access software for a Chrome extension, iOS app, and related website services that help users pause before opening self-selected distracting websites or apps. These terms apply to your use of Cocision's website, Chrome extension, iOS app, account services, Free Plan access, hosted AI and speech-to-text features, beta access program, StoreKit subscriptions, and related services.
Beta And Early Access
Cocision is currently in beta or early access. Features may change, be removed, become unavailable, or require additional setup before general release. The Chrome Web Store listing may not be publicly available until submission and approval are complete. The iOS app may be limited to internal Alpha, TestFlight, or other pre-release testing until Apple entitlement, Screen Time behavior, StoreKit, privacy, and App Review requirements are satisfied.
Accounts And Eligibility
You are responsible for the information you provide to Cocision and for keeping your account, browser, device, and credentials secure. Do not use Cocision in a way that violates laws, third-party rights, provider policies, Chrome extension platform rules, Apple platform rules, or App Store rules.
Website sign-in, extension sign-in, and iOS app sign-in are separate sessions. Signing out of one surface may not automatically sign you out of the other surface.
Cocision treats the signed-in Supabase user id and provider identity as the account anchor. Google and Apple sign-ins can create separate Cocision accounts unless explicit provider linking or support handling is available. Cocision does not automatically merge accounts by matching email, including Apple Private Relay email addresses.
Google Sign-In is an optional third-party authentication method. Cocision's handling of Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Free Plan And Usage Limits
Cocision may offer a Free Plan with configurable weekly usage limits. Free Plan access, quota policy, global bonus quota, per-user bonus quota, reset windows, and plan availability are controlled by Cocision's server-side runtime policy and may change over time.
An active AI checkpoint is counted at the account/session level. A voice-first flow is counted once for a voice-enabled active session, not once per individual voice message inside the same session.
If you reach a Free Plan usage limit, Cocision may block additional hosted AI checkpoint or speech-to-text use until the next reset, while still allowing available non-voice or non-AI fallback flows where the product supports them.
Pro, Billing, And Checkout Availability
The current public launch posture is Free Plan first. Pro may be visible on the Pricing page as a locked or unavailable plan, and public paid checkout may remain closed until Cocision explicitly enables it.
When paid checkout is enabled on the website or Chrome extension account surfaces, Cocision may offer paid Pro access as monthly or yearly subscription billing through Lemon Squeezy. Cocision may display public plan and price copy on its website, but Lemon Squeezy checkout and billing portal pages are the final source for checkout totals, taxes, renewal terms, payment method handling, invoices, cancellation paths, and Lemon-supported billing actions.
Payment method updates, invoice history, cancellation, renewal, and Lemon-supported subscription management should be handled through Lemon Squeezy's billing portal when a Lemon subscription exists. For billing support, contact support@cocision.app.
When paid checkout is enabled in the iOS app, Cocision may offer iOS Pro access through Apple StoreKit and App Store in-app subscriptions. Apple checkout and App Store subscription management surfaces are the final source for App Store purchase confirmation, Apple payment handling, subscription renewal, cancellation, refund, family sharing availability where applicable, and App Store subscription status. Cocision cannot directly cancel or refund App Store subscriptions; use Apple's subscription management and refund flows for those actions.
StoreKit purchase and restore require Cocision sign-in first. Cocision may fail closed when an App Store restore appears to belong to another Cocision account. App Store Pro, Lemon Squeezy Pro, support-managed Pro, and Developer access may all grant Pro-equivalent product access, but each payment source keeps its own management path.
Internal Developer access, manual Pro access, launch bonus quota, and other account overrides are not customer purchase plans and may be changed or revoked by Cocision.
Chrome Extension Use
Cocision is designed to help you create intentional friction before opening selected websites. You remain responsible for your own browsing choices, blocked target configuration, account setup, provider setup where applicable, and decisions to accept or reject access plans.
Cocision is not a security product, parental-control product, or guarantee that access cannot be bypassed. You may be able to disable, uninstall, or work around the extension.
iOS App Use
The iOS app is designed to help you create intentional friction before opening selected apps. It may use Apple Screen Time frameworks, including FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, Shield, DeviceActivity, notifications, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island surfaces where available.
iOS behavior depends on Apple permissions, entitlements, OS behavior, device settings, App Review requirements, and the reliability of Screen Time APIs. Cocision is not a security product, parental-control product, anti-bypass system, or guarantee that app access cannot be bypassed. You may be able to disable permissions, uninstall the app, change device settings, or work around Cocision.
Any iOS non-AI allowance, active-minute measurement, Shield handoff, notification, Live Activity, or Dynamic Island behavior is subject to real-device validation. Cocision should not be treated as proven on a device, OS version, or Apple system surface until Cocision has recorded evidence for that specific behavior.
AI Provider Behavior
Cocision may use third-party AI providers. In Subscription mode, Cocision may route speech-to-text, input moderation, and checkpoint decisions through Cocision-hosted backend services that call Cocision-owned provider accounts.
If BYOK access is enabled for your account, the extension may call selected providers directly using provider keys you saved locally. BYOK is not required for the current Free Plan launch.
Provider responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. Cocision does not guarantee that AI-generated suggestions will be correct, safe, or appropriate for every situation.
Acceptable Use
You may not misuse Cocision, interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security controls on hosted services, reverse engineer hosted services, abuse AI providers, submit harmful content, or use the product for unlawful activity.
Privacy
Cocision's privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. By using Cocision, you acknowledge that the product may process local extension data, local iOS app data, Screen Time-adjacent protected app metadata, hosted AI and speech-to-text requests, account state, usage state, StoreKit/App Store subscription ledger state, checkpoint product analytics, optional feedback, diagnostics, and error/performance monitoring data as described there.
Disclaimers
Cocision is provided on an early-access basis and may contain bugs or interruptions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cocision is provided without warranties of any kind.
